Henry Butcher Lim & Long Sdn Bhd (as Henry Butcher Malaysia was then known) undertook the auction of Atlas Intek Plant & Machinery in 1987 and raised approximately RM16 million for the client. We then went on to auction the “College General Site” in Pulau Pinang for approximately RM55 million. They were then the largest auctions ever held in the country, establishing the company as a leading auctioneer in both real estate and plant and machinery. Since then, we have conducted numerous other auction exercises for major accountancy firms, banks and other financial institutions, public listed and private companies, as well as individuals.
